TBI to Carb 350 - 02 ZR2
Hey guys got a TBI 350 out of an older 90 Suburban. Thought it was a Vortec but had some miscommunication with where it came from! However, we've already rebuilt the 350 and slapped some Vortec heads on thereafter working on the bottom end. It's a four-bolt yay.
We'll be running a carb setup, MSD, HEI etc. But the question is... I want to keep the 02's harness without ripping everything apart. There's a few things I can't appropriately hook up, and removing and tuning the ECU is no problem to get rid of the CELs AFAIK but. How hard would piggybacking off an MSD 6AL be?
The biggest concern is the 4l60e and appropriate speed sensors to make sure it shifts. Having a hard time finding any NV35*/45* around Wisconsin but there are a bunch of TH350s and a few 700 R4s. But the 4l60e was recently rebuilt and modified to hold 400 with the 262 turbo setup we had going on after going marine intake and MPFI. But the wife and I just didn't want to dump five grand into building the 262 to break 400 to the crank. Our 350 NA is already an "estimated" 400. The biggest concern is trans shifting.

So not sure how much help I'll be but I have 94 blazer with a crate 5.7 vortec heads running the stock tbi setup tuned by Brian Harris.. 35in tires 4 in lift aluminum drive line from a suburban cut and balance locally shop. has the stock 4l60e rebuild with heavy duty packs and rebuilt transfer case. Only issue I've run into is the stock gt4 3.73 gearing is not adequate now. it's God damn sluggish that is if it doesn't try and stall out while trying to get it to down shift for power or take off from dead stop.. towings out of the question but I'm in process of regearing to 4.56 or 4.88 cause I intend to tow with it.. almost wish I would have know about the benefits of desiel when I started this project. Now that I have learned it's almost like the 6.5 turbo desiel full size blazer has all but been eradicated from existence. It's like a unheard whispering.. lol only seen in pictures. But if there anything I can help with info from my build I'll be happy to supply info.
