Good start so far! I like you list of planned things. One question though- why are you putting ZR2 stickers on there?

Thanks! Im not sure if im going to put ZR2 or just 4x4 stickers on there quite yet. I might try to incorperate as many ZR2 features as a 4 door will allow (skidplates, maybe fenders, or beefed up suspension?). But any of that stuff wont be in the near future ($$$$$). Just an idea for now.

EDIT: And next winter i might be plowing so the suspension should help with the added weight of a snowplow.

Phil 01-23-2012 09:57 PM

If you can find the 4x4 stickers that Blazinator put on his, I think those would look pretty slick on your Blazer.

I got all 4 door trailblazer door panels on, aswell as the passenger seat. The drivers seat has a torx bit that is stripped -.-....... Hopefully will be welding a socket to it tomorrow so i can get it off. Interior should be complete by weeks end (with pics) ;)!

its not that hard as long as you know how to shim it so it sits where its supose to you will also have to swap out ring gears as they are not the same just take your old one off and put it on the g80

Just outside of Madison

Wisco Blazer 02-08-2012 04:37 PM

Ok so heres a problem that i just remembered!!!

My rear wiper sprayer is not functioning properly. I tested the Pump and it works fine, so there must be a break or kink in the hose, but i can't seem to trace the hose from the resevoir to the wiper....

Does anybody have any ideas where the hose runs? (ie under car or through the roof)

Thogert 02-08-2012 04:47 PM

Through the inside of the cab under the drivers side carpet. :icon_doh: Good luck.

Thanks! Im probly just gonna disconnect both ends of the hoses and reroute a new one somehow.... But it can wait until spring (hate working in the cold)

Also, just got my bracket fit on the intake, now it is lookin nice and sturdy.

99bblazer99 02-08-2012 07:21 PM

what did you paint your rims with. Ive tryed a couple times but the stuff just doesnt look right. did you use primer or anything before you painted them?

Heres what I did.

1- Put the truck on jackstands
2- Removed all the wheels
3- Hosed the wheels off
4- Let them dry
5- Sprayed and wiped off bug and tar remover
6- 1 coat of primer (pictured above)
7- 2 coats of gloss black spraypaint

Also I am gonna put another coat when springtime comes around, along with a clearcoat for protection.

Hope this helps, if you have any other questions feel free to ask

litterbug 02-08-2012 09:37 PM

Thanks, there will be more steady updates in the spring when it's more fun working outside haha, and i was really lucky finding that interior on CL.

Wisco Blazer 02-11-2012 08:37 PM

Found a bull bar on craigslist. Do you guys think its worth it? Will it be hard to mount? push bar

j89lumaye 02-12-2012 11:37 AM

I wouldnt go for it. You should get a black one anyway. Tan+chrome dont mix in my opinion

and yes there are pics lol

Benedict1337 02-12-2012 01:41 PM

you night visibility is going to be terrible... I nightshaded my headlights and I had less visibility with HID's and tinted headlights than stock halogens.

Wisco Blazer 02-12-2012 02:10 PM

I put a fairly light coat compared to my tail-lights.. But thanks for the heads up, i will be putting some fog lights on it so hopefully it will help out the visibility.

Wisco Blazer 02-15-2012 08:36 PM

Benedict was right, visibility is awful, so i took off the nightshade on the headlights but left it on the corners for the turn signals.

In other news...

A guy is coming over to look at my old interior, he offered me $250 for the seats and door panels, if all goes well i will have made money on the interior swap haha

Benedict1337 02-16-2012 01:27 PM

I left my corners tinted too. untill I decided to put my corners with fogs back in. and then I got bravada headlights.. Selling stuff for more than what you paid is always awesome. I think I broke even selling my old seats when I got the trailblazer seats.
