covered with diesel
I'm pissed. Dad and I went to one of our friends house, on the Blazer. On the way a dump truck gets in front of us and we smell diesel fuel, later the setting sun hits the windsheild and theres a haze. The truck in front of us had apparently blown off a fuel line. Well, I just washed it with Dawn. I still have a slight haze, and I want to get it off before I put some wax back on it. Any tips? I'm gonna try to go over itwith Orange, and if that doesn't get it to my liking, I'm gonna go over the whole thing with compound.
I alsonoticed that the diesel had cut the paint on my emblem (I painted it with Krylon, my mistake). Which brings me to my next question. Where can I find a Black or CF decal for my emblem? I did an ebay search and nothing turned up.

Yeah man... I gave it another shot of Dawn and went over it a couple of times with finishing glaze, treated the whole thing with swirl remover and then waxed it.

I used NiteShades off eBay to black out my emblum. I put about 4 coats on it and then went over that with a clear coat that I bought at my local auto parts store. Just a suggestion.

Dude....I had the same thing happen to me. It wasn't a dump truck but a garbadge truck and I got some liquid on my windshield and I tried everythng to get rid of the liquid. I had to get aNEW windshield. I was pissed. Nothing would remove it. I tried dawn, even tried professional cleaners nothing took it off. It sucked when you were driving and the sun would hit it

I got it off, but It still left a film on my windsheild. It went away after about 3 weeks worth of washing. Not to mention I got out the industrial strength glass cleaner.
