ok peoples try not to laugh to hard. i have an 1983 s10 blazer.with a little 2.0 yea yea laugh! with the original 2 barrell carb. just plain week. anyway now that your done laughing. where can i find all the stuff to drop a v8 in her and yes she's a she!and what size can i go? and do i have to change the transmission its a five speed now.any help would be greatly appreciated. iam mechanicaly inclined so iam not worried about that part . just need to know what to get and where. iam not lookin to dump a bunch of money in it.oh and its a 4x4 also sorry probably need to know that also. so if ya can help let me know. thanks

Well, You could start anywhere. click here for a link to Summit Racing Equipment. Found some motor mounts for your swap. I'm not sure about keeping the original tranny, but I read folks drop in TH700 automatics in their rigs.

NO YOU CAN NOT USE YOUR FACTORY TRANNY. You have to get one with a v8 bellhousing. You can put any size motor as you want. a 350 will bolt in really easy, and jtr.com have everything you need to know about it. and not dumping $$$ in it and wanting to put a v8 in her isn't the same. v8 swaps arent cheap ($3000-$8000).
