Default 1995 Blazer transfer case vacuum switch.

My electronic 4 wheel drive hi and lo lights will not come on when I push the buttons. I checked the fuse and it's good. Will a bad transfer case vacuum switch and or hoses cause my lights not to come on and the 4 wheel drive system not to work?

It might just be the light bulbs behind the switch

When you push the button can you hear any click from behind the passenger side dash? You can pull your battery to start with. The vaccum actuator is under the battery tray. Look for tears in the diaphram and check the lines going back to the transfer case.

However, if you push the botton, hear a click but no light comes on that would lead to a bad selector switch. Or if the lights come and go. There is a great write up of diagnosing the system in the DIY section.
