Hey all. Posting in regards to my folks 2001 GMC Jimmy. The engine is suddenly cutting out while driving. It acts like a vapor lock type of situation. It will start back up and run just fine until it happens again. The fault code being read is P0452. The gas cap has been replaced a few days ago. Is it possible the purge control solenoid off the evap canister can be the cause of this or possibly an intake sensor such as air temp control, mass airflow or egr?
It has been ridiculously hot here in Phoenix so the temp may or may not be responsible for the problem on a week solenoid. Which one is the question.
Recent repiars in the last 90 days are fuel pump and filter. Withing the last year are distributor, cam and crank sensor.
Thanks in advance for any help and suggestions.

Turns out the fault code had nothing to do with the problem. The coil, which had been replaced in Jan was bad. I did check the ICM which tested good which led me to the faulty coil. ICM was reinstalled with a fresh dab of dialectric grease and runs fine.
On to some other gremlins.
