350- carb of fuel injction?????
i got a 95 s-10 blazer with a 4.3 vortec. i am bout to buy a crate 350 from crate engines.com and am unsure about the fuel injction choice. should i go with the carb and if i do , how will it affect my computer. or should i do the fuel injection ? and what do i need to accomplish that??????
Personally, I would go fuel injection. Better mpg, better for off-roading.
Carb won't need a computer, and could create problems if you have a 4L60E tranny. The 4L60E tranny is controlled by input from teh various engine sensors, carb'd engeins don't have those sensors. You will have to swap to a 700R4/4L60 tranny or something else.
A great source of info is from a company called Jags that run. or JTR for short. They have a swap manual specific to the S-series trucks. Look em up online and buy the book. It will answer most of your questions.
