From what I can see, the transmission doesn't have to move... The motor mounts are adjustable, so you can slide the motor to where you need it... Supposedly works for 4x4 and 2wd...

I was planning on cutting out my front bumper where the plate goes to put a tranny cooler in there. I can't believe that I forgot I had to have a plate out front. Totally ruined my plans for mounting the cooler there, stupid laws.

Don't forget that when you slide/move the engine that it moves the tranny with it. You can mod the xmember to work by drilling out some of the holes. I'm waiting till I put in my motor before I build a custom xmember for the tranny.

Not plates, just plate

Here in Alberta, we only need one, lol

Where abouts in AB does ya live? Maybe I'll keep an eye out for a lime green blazer, lol
im from edmonton alberta
if your anywhere near edmonton u can pretty much see my truck its that bright
ya so from wat i understand is that there are basically 2 ways the engine can sit,
in the forward position which does not require any driveshaft customization, but creates very limited space infront of the engine for the engine driven fan.
or else the back position which requires a custom driveshaft, but gives you plenty of room infront of the engine for a fan.
personally im just going to seewhere the engine can sit comfortably and see how it goes :0

jason wat suspension parts are you getting from summit?
am i going to need some as well on my blazer?

Switch to an electric fan, and it should have lots of room...

I was in Edmonton back in Febuary for the Wolfmother concert...

It's only like 4 and a half hours away, lol

No you shouldn't need any different suspension pieces. I have my whole front end torn down. Powder coating the control arms, torsion bars, dust shields, knuckles, calipers, etc. I am waiting on new control arm bushings, ball joints, and a couple other little things. I would also think about maybe going with an electric fan. I picked up a taurus fan for like $40 and have it mounted in the forward position with a corvette rad. I plan on using it with an adjustable derale electric fan controller.
Couple of pics of my fan mounted here http://www.blazinjason.com/Sept.htm

The fan from I think from the V6, late 90s Ford Taurus is supposed to be really good... It's a two speed fan, and has massive air flow...

If you are ever at a junkyard and see a 2nd gen (98+) Intrepid, Concorde, or 300M, the electric fan in those cars is one of the best made and many people transplant them into other mechanically driven fan applications. It also should be the same size as our radiators.

i was thinking of going with a short water pump to allow for some extra room on the front, but if i go electric then that doent really matter
