97 Blazer 350 swap
Im new to the site, and I would imagine this question was asked more then enough times...
Im looking to put a 350 TBI in my girlfriends 97 blazer ... I say tbi because I already have it sitting aside from a truck i changed the engine in. I've done a similar swap before to my 98 Jimmy, but it was a carb engine and also lifted it 11 inches and made it solid axle.
does anyone have a list of parts that i would need to do the swap? i figure block hugger headers and a modified oil pan to clear the front dif? I want to keep the 4wd working ... will it work with the stock trani? Any idea where I can buy a complete kit, with mounts, oil relocator, headers, etc?
The truck has a 2" body lift to make things a little easier .... any information would be great! Thanks

or how about just doing a search on the forum?
no offence, but you say you've already done this kind of swap to your '98 (which you converted to carb?), why would you be asking about the trans?
your GF's won't be any different to do. other than not having a ton of room to work on it. maybe you should put a hugh lift on it before you do the engine upgrade.

In the 98, if you read correctly, I said I put solid axle in it, which was from an older chev truck, full size, the transmission is a 400 turbo with the old style cast iron transfer case, which goes down the passenger side, not the drivers side...
