a Pcm is this safe to do question
Im buying a pcm tune for my 4.3 and ive done all my research so im not asking a newbie question but just a "is this safe" question'
the blazer starts up fine but it has a hesitation, i was told from my mechanic that its the spyder? not specifiaclly sure but when i start it up it takes about 2 sometimes 3 seconds to get her up and running, when i buy my pcm4less tune could this damage anything?
i dont want to fix the spyder because its a 600 dollar fix and my mechanic said i could "live with it" but this is before the pcm core was considered.
lastly and simple question. do i need a programmer after i install the core or can i just plug it in and once everythings done turn my car on and go?

A tuned PCM isn't going to do things that much differently to the point where it would exacerbate the issues.
You may have to have a CASE learn procedure (aka crankshaft variation relearn) performed to acquaint the new PCM to your engine.

sounds like worst case scenario there. but hopefully luck will be on my side and it will avoided
