Arrow Changing Distributor Cap and Rotor

What would it do?
How hard would it be on a 2004 4.3 V6 2wd
(About) What would be the cost?

cost is in the other thread you asked about plugs in

not hard at all. just find this guy

and yank the 7 wires off of it.

remove the 2 T20 torx head screws (rear is tough to spot at first

the tastey bits inside under teh cap (the white guy) is your rotor.

2 T15 torx screws keep that bad boy in place. lit lifts right out. inspect and toss

enjoy

what curtis left out: do your wires one at a time or you'll know you hooked them up wrong. also this way the firing order is not screwed up.

my input: do not buy the cap/rotor from napa. done it twice and a mechanic i work with ended up taking his cap/rotor back, bought one from a stealership and has not had problems since, wires don't really matter where you get them, carefull with those plastic tabs too, you break them you're gonna have to do the zip tie mod, or get a new distributor

# your cap (if it isn't al ready) and # your wires (if they aren't already) to be 10000% sure

clockwise from the top:
Fire order is
1
6
5
4
3
2

wires go
5
1
3
2
4
6
coil

doesn't mean he knows it or how it marries up to the engine as the cylinders go
5
3
1
2
4
6

which could be confusing

its just easier if you do one at a time. yeah i know the firing order, you do, and curtis does, but how many guys that do "general maintence" know, napa sells other parts that are great and work great,
i buy alot of parts there, just the caps/rotors i've noticed are not their usual quality.
