just wondering how much the 4.3 changed throughout the years, obviously alot with the intake/fuel delivery. But how much did the block/crank/pistons/heads and all that other good stuff change?

are the new(er) 4.3's in full size trucks just the x vin 4.3? did they ever address the intake gasket problems?

also, i know why these got the name "vortec" for swirling the air/gas mixture, but where and how does this happen?

That is a lot of good info. I have plans of getting a set of cylinder heads from the local u-pull and pay. I plan on porting and polishing them, replacing the valves with some swirl polished ones and putting some roller rockers on them. Imagine how pissed I would be if I went through all that to find out I bought the wrong heads for my 1993 VIN W?
