Default Engine power tuning?

went browsing online and ran into this:
Hypertech Max Energy Power Programmer=

for the price, is this worth it? otherwise, what other devices or alternative upgrades would you reccomend to a daily driver who wants a little more hp and better fuel economy (preferably in one package)? before running into this, i was considering a new air intake (K&N air filter or something like that... my friend told me about it) or something with the exhaust (catalytic converter upgrade?)...

btw, its a 1999 2wd 4door LT... thanks for any tips and advice!

Default

Unless you can find one used for a really good price, it would be more sensible to have the PCM tuned by pcmforless or wait4me.
