Default RE: exhaust

A.I.R. stands for Air Injection Reaction and is used to improve the efficiency of the catalytic converter. It is not required by all states as it is really there to help the 4.3L meet LEV (low emissions vehicle) status. But the bad part is that the only way to get rid of the darn thing is to have your PCM modified to remove the AIR codes.

RPO K18 Reactor System Air Injection, Electric

Check your RPO listing on the inside of the glove box door. There should be a sticker with multiple 3 digit codes on it. Then run a search for 'RPO Decoder' and pick your favorite one to decode your RPO list.
