RE: is the hypertech programmer a good option?
before i wrecked my car, i was going to install a pc under the passenger seat with a 7 inch lcd touchscreen and hook the pc to the ODB2 connector and get one of those auto ecu reprogrammer programs. i got the pc for $50 off an friend that was upgrading and the touchscreen with the vga input that supports 1600x1200 resolution for only about $270. the software i was looking at was going to be free and the ODB2 connector was only $40 on ebay. ebay has a lot for sale. now i have a pre-1996 auto so i need to figure out a new plan.
