ok here i am again with another problem, the engine has finally succombed to whatever demon it is posessing in its bowels. it has a 4.3 liter tbi. the truck will start and run for about 30 seconds and then cut off. turns over again and boom dead again 30 secodns later, my friend seems to think it's the injectors getting clogged or something(its not fuel injected, its tbi)....i think it may be the idler arm(although i have never seen it) what are you guys take on this, you guys are alot smarter than me at this, im just trying to learn american cars rather than jap cars

idler arm Has nothing to do with how it runs (not moving).

TBI setup you have a TPS (throtle possision sensor), try checking that first. Also look at the spray from your TBI Injectors, if its a fine mist then they are alright, if not you need to look into the fuel system.

Kind of falls into the IAC like Honda's have.

Chances are good that this is a sensor triggering after a few seconds. I'd take it to the dealer for diagnosis, as they should be able to find it much faster than you can.
