I can see how it would look like there is more involved, but if you concentrate on the motor first, the tuning aspect (increasing fuel and spark trims, etc) should be quite similar to the methods employed in any other vehicle. For the transmission, modifying the line pressure and playing with the shift points is probably where you want to limit your changes to.

Wow, this thread kinda blew up while I was away. And all I got was a stage II module from jet if anyone still has that question... No programming, it does all that itself. Just install and go.

Well I just ordered my Hypertech Programmer III,so I should have it tomorrow or monday.

No, definately not. dropped about 1 mpg. However i was a little more "on it" than I had been before the module. Gain in hp and torque, not mpg.

Did you replace your thermostadt to a 180 degree like Jet recommends on their website?

I have not installed a thermostat yet, its on the top of my list tho when I have some time...

I got my Hypertech today and it states that it recommends the use of the stock thermostadt.

Yeah, any '98+ will complain even if you only drop to a 180*F stat. That is why it is not recommended!
