oil in my intake

i have a 94 s10 with a 262 vtec cpi...when i start it ...it smokes for about 10 min. and then clears up.i opened the butterfly valve on the intake and noticed a puddle of oil the size of a 50 cent piece.can anyone tell me why? thanx
