PCV oil catch can
After changing my PCV, I noticed an oily buildup in the plastic tube that connects to valve. I installed a home made mod using a Husky oil/water seperator. I picked up some transmission hose and clamps and installed it today. I;m not the first one to do this. What do you guys think? Did I waste my time?

$19.95 for the dryer
$6.XX for the high pressure line. NAPA here isn't cheap
dad provided hose clamps (4)
and $6.XX for the 3/8 male end hose fittings.
I'll post the results in 500 miles.

From over in another thread...
So how much oil is in the catch can when full? Seems like it wouldn't hold all that much so I guess it isn't as excessive as I thought it may be when I first read the quoted post. Would you estimate that it filters out a pint over 5000 miles?
I should try something like this to see how much comes out of my truck.
Where did you pick up all of the parts? Seems like Home Depot should have all of this stuff, but I'm only finding air filters, not dryers... But, I would have to wait for the Home Depot to be built here (exterior walls are up!)... So...

it works fine. It fills up around every 2,500 miles. 5,2XX miles on the catch can now can now.
I did a write up on it w/ pics but forgot where I posted it.
