Default type of engine?

I am looking to buy a new intake and i found one but it only fits the "CPI" engine? I have a 93 LT tahoe blazer 4x4 4.3 liter v6 vortec. does anyone know what the "CPI" engine is and do i have it?
Thanks

Yes U have CPI engine 93 is the last year for the CPI I belive......Ebay has tunz of intakes for our Blazer. Just about all intakes are the same when it comes to "function".....the NAME-look-color-type/thickness/alum-steel-pipe is all the difference in price for the most part. You can pay anywhere from about $50 "Ebay cheepo" to $200 "K-n-N" with an isolation box. With the amount of trouble the CPI can give you with fule issues I went Ebay cheepo.

Is that intake compatable with both the "w" and "Z" engines?
Do you know which one you have. I think it is the 8th digit in the vin number.

I am unsure at the moment but, I dont think the "El cheepo" from Ebay matters the W or Z ....it connect into the flex tube that attatches to the throttel body. All it is, is a correctly bent piece of chromed aluminium pipe w/a cone filter

Are you sure about that? I thought the '92 and '93 model years were MPFI (multiport fuel injected) engines. Looks like a spider with 6 legs.
