upgradig to Pertronix electronic ingnition II

Hi, i have 1980 chevrolet blazer k5, i would like to install a Pertronix Ignition II system, because i want more Hp and mileage.
Have you done something like this?
Would you please tell me your opinion?

Your blazer should have an HEI distributor, not the older points style. As such, this module will not help. You can get a performance coil (I have an Accell Super Coil on the distributor I am planning on dropping into the motor in my K5) as well as an upgraded electronic ignition module for under the rotor, but that is pretty much it without going to a new distributor.

Thanks for answering people, i think i have a special kind of distributor because i do not see a coil, it might be inside the distributor.
I would like to show you some pictures of my distributor so that you can tell me what kind is it and how can i improve in order to obtain more hp and better mileage.



I would like to find some trick that help me to save some fuel, because my truck has a low mileage, 12.5 miles per gallon.

That is an HEI distributor. The coil is mounted to the top of the distributor cap.
As far as saving fuel... That is a difficult one as you are driving a fullsize truck with an I6 engine that is not all that great on fuel to begin with...
