HiI was riding wiht my son inlaw today in his 2000 blazer 2wd.the engine mised onece and died. we were not able to get it to restart. The starter will not turn over and the guages and turn signal are dead. we found the ing fuse(40 amp) blown . we replaced it and it blew imediatly. So far have traced wiring to starter with no visible problme with the wiring. rmoved starter and was able to jump it with jumper cable . I am not sure where to begin in running down the problem. My son in law suspects the problem in in the ignition switch. If this is true does any one have asuggestion on the best way to test it. any help would be appreciated.

 

Removed the starter. Then turned the witch to start fuse did not blow. This seems to indicate to me that the problem should be located in the starter circuit.
