I think you're right, I'll just stick with small stuff. I am on a bit of a budget so a turbo isn't the best choice.

and just keeping it running properly will help it run @ the top of it's game.

besides, if you've ever opened up one of these 4-3's you'd see that there really isn't a strong bottom end in there. cna make some half descent power, but you won't have a long living engine if you beat on it often.

about the only thing to strengthen the bottom end up is a marine crank. but from what i remember during my build, there were some mods needed to the block, and i didn't like what it was gonna do.

wanna increase the performance to what you alrady have? get rid of all the dead weight in the truck.

One more question. Where can I get a decent, but not too expensive CAI setup?

Ebay. Several members here have them. You can buy one of those and put a better filter on it and still save money.

If you are looking for a supercharger look into the Wynjammer Supercharger it's PRICEY though.

GM2.2L,-4.3-,5.7 Supercharger,Vortec,Gm 5.7,Supercharger kit, Performance parts

And edelbrock makes a performance intake manifold as well as some other performance parts.
