Whats everyones running temp or the coolant/engine in the 4.3?
)my truck also doesn't seem to really 'blow heat' untill around 140ish which takes a while to get to, sucks on the way to work at 5am.

Both of my blazers run real close to two hundred degrees and ive been told thats normal for a chevy. I also live somewhere that stays above 95 degrees durring the summer.

I eyeballed the temp-gauge yesterday afternoon (106°F here in Vegas) and it sat steady at two marks below 210, which I reckon is about 182, and that was with the A/C running. I bought a new thermostat today to install this weekend, hoping to improve my 16mpg average.
i agree i own 2 blazer and both run about 200 degrees and was told by a couple of mechanivs that is normal
so whats the latest on this i have the same problem on my 93 w code, it didnt pass smog by high hc on high rpm, heater core bypassed, ran cold i replaced the t stat and now runs a little under the middle mark. i thought i failed due to not beeing in clossed loop but since my temp still looks slightly low i havnt smoged it again.
