I just bought it 2 weeks ago, it was fine the first 175 miles, last night it was cold and I started it, its ticking/knocking but I shut it off n started it a few times and it would stop, then later in the night it now starts and ticks, but once it runs for a couple minutes it stops, Im thinking its possibly a lifter not pumping up with oil for a min or 2, its coming from the passanger side, im gonna change the oil and put mobil 1 in to try to clean it out. Does anyone have any ideas or has had this happen?

I had this as well on my old 98 Blazer. Being in Canada, winters here get cold so we plug in at night to keep the block nice and toasty but it would only go away once it was ran for a couple of minutes, and then it was fine for the day until I left it sitting for a while.
When I sold it the truck had 395000 KMS on it and it did not get any worse. These motors are bullet proof. I probably should have reset the lifters after 100000 KMS but it didn't affect the performance at all so I left it alone.

If I were you I would change my oil and filter and replace one quart of oil with Rislone, them in about 3,000 miles do so again.
Not long back I had a bad sticking lifter on start up on my 91 blazer 4.3 W engine, and that is what I did and I got rid of the problem. I would suggest using a very good 5W 40W oil.
That has been a good while back when I had that trouble, I still put 1/2 of a quart in at oil change, leaning out 1/2 quart of oil of course.
Rislone will not damage you engine, can't say the same for other additives, its one of the few additives that I have found in my 63 years that works.
