03 zr2 blazer Shifting issues help guys!
Hey everyone,
Ok here’s the low down. The other day I jumped on the highway and floored the petal the truck shift through 1,2 but doesn’t want to go into what it seems like 3rd. Petal to floor I’m revving 4000 -4500 rpms and stuck at 50-55mph. If I let off the gas a little and eventually it will jump to 3rd then 4th and I can go 65+mph but as soon as I floor it to pass someone it seems like it skips over 3rd and drops right to 2nd and redlines again and I go from 65mph back down to 50 -55mph until I let off the petal slightly and it will run back to 3rd again and slowly back to 4th. It also seems like I’m going up any hill it doesn’t want to shift up into the 3 / 4 gears at all. I’m not sure If it would be a shift solenoid or tps sensor I hear a lot of talk on that stuff but there is a code on the computer for a mass vac leak / loss could that lead to a shifting issue???
I’m a backyard mechanic so I would like to try and fix myself before bringing it to a tranny shop so any input would be greatly appreciated!!!
Thanks Guys
Dan
