its a 4.3 engine code z the problem i am experiencing as follows: (1) the brake lght stays on all connections seem ok (2) i have replaced the egr valve and the engine light comes on and the cat converter turns red had it checked and the cat isnt bad (3)the engine wont rev up it pops back through the throttle boddy when you rev it up..........any suggestions?

 

If the brake light is on, it could mean that your brake res is low on fluid.

Engine light comes on to tell you there is a stored code. What is that code?

If the catalytic converter glows red, it is either bad, or your fuel system has a leak and is dumping large amounts of fuel into the engine. How have you determined that the catalytic converter is not clogged?
