Default 1991 Full Size AT problem

I believe AT is going out in my 1991 Full Size Blazer. I am considerind buying a vehicle with a good transmission and switching it out. What should I look for?

I'd look for a vehicle with the same options as you have, V8, 2WD, 4WD, 700R4 trans?
Unless you can drive the donor vehicle how will you know the condition of the transmission.
I had a 700R4 rebuilt for $1,000.
I can fix a lot of things, but I don't do automatic transmissions.

Rebuilding may be my best bet...I would have to trust someone that an used trans is OK. I am not sure if it is a 700R4. Thanks!
