Default 1993 4.3 engine sputter

So I'm new to this site and I've been reading posts for the last week or so because it seems like the problem I'm having with my engine a lot of other people have had also. It starts right up every time, no issue there. But when I rev it up it stalls out around 2000 rpm, and when I push the throttle to the floor it sputters and stalls out until I let off the pedal. Then it idles perfect and no issues. It has a new fuel pump/filter and my fuel pressure at key on is right around 60, when I fire it up it holds between 54-60, when I accelerate and it starts to sputter the needle on my fuel pressure gauge wiggles like crazy, but still holds at 58. I pulled the upper plenum and found that the inside is dark and looks normal, except for one small clean spot right where the 2 return fuel lines come in, so I ordered the parts and they show up this week. Just curious if there's anything else I should be looking into, EGR is working like it should, it was just checked at the referee last week. any input would be greatly appreciated, thanks!

I should also note that I just replaced: plugs, wires, cap, rotor

is your 4.3 TBI or the vortec version? If its the vortec version you may want to look at the fuel spider under the intake plenium. If its the TBi take a look at your ICM, also check all vacum lines for leaks.

Sorry forgot to mention that, it's the vortec version and it has 160000 miles on it. I'm going to pull the plugs and see if any of them are wet and have fuel on them. If it is the spider going bad, what can I look for, or what are the tell tell signs? Fuel on plugs? I had a friend mention that's where I should look first. I just didn't want to spend the $275 on a new spider if that wasn't the problem.
