1993 Jimmy won't start after warming up
Hi everyone, I'm new to the forum and I'm looking for some help diagnosing a problem with my 1993 Jimmy (4.3L Vortec). This problem just appeared in the last couple days as it's started to warm up, when the engine sits overnight, the first start of the day is totally normal but trying to start after I've driven around and let it warm up gives me a couple concerning issues. First is that the engine won't crank smoothly through one rotation. It can still crank fully but it sounds like it's getting hung up on one cylinder and almost comes to a complete stop. Second is that IF it starts, it idles fine but as soon as I put it into gear and try to drive from a stop (forward or reverse) it starts choking and usually stalls. If I can get it moving though it runs fine.
Fuel pump is good, I recently replaced it (for the third time) and is supplying the system with enough pressure. Fuel filter was also recently replaced so I don't suspect that either. I live in a remote town in the arctic and I'm not super mechanically inclined so my resources are pretty limited. There is a shop here but I'd rather not pour a ton of money into this thing as I'm probably not sticking around much longer. I pretty much just want it to run this summer and then be done with it!
Any help or suggestions are appreciated!
