1995 Blazer HELP!!!
Hi, I am new to the forum, I need help getting this blazer running, I need it in two days! Here is the problem, it is not starting. I am able to start it when I spray starting fluid in the intake, but it will only run until the starting fluid in the engine is gone. I have replaced the fuel pump and now the injectors. There is definitely spark because it will run on starting fluid. I am at a complete loss. Possibly there is not the correct pulse top the injector? what is the voltage for the injector? I NEED HELP!
1- Did you check at the begining the fuel pressure? For 1995 model, pressure should be around 58 to 64 psi; decreasing 3 to 10 psi when running
2- The inyector resistance for CMFI should be 1.37 to 1.77 ohms, 12 volts.
So if fuel pumps works and get fuel pressure, you could get a defective electrical connector to CMFI (check voltage). If fuel pump doesnt work, look for an electrical problem (take in account that there is an issue with S10 model regarding poor quality fuel pump electrical connector:they melted) starting at fuse, relay and also oil pressure(fuel pump sending unit.
If fuel pump is working fine, looks for burn fuses , loose ot brokes wires to CMFI. A scanning tools could help you.
Since it starts, spark, rotor, cup and ignition coil seams to be OK (you could check it with and old spark plug).

Well found out that the parts store gave me the wrong fuel pump. So the engine ran and then it started making some bad sounds...well I found coolant in the oil. So I now have a whole new set of problems.
