Default 1995 blazer 4wd engine help

ok so i have this 1995 blazer s10 4wd 4 door and its got the basic 4.3L motor in it that is just simply not enough i need help in finding out what size motor is possible to put in this truck without changing the transmission and ideas?

since you're new around here, i'll give you the heads up, and let you know you should've place your question in the proper section.

you obviously aren't to familiar with the 4.3's, it's essentially a SB with 2 cylinders missing.

you can drop in a SB, but nothing you swap is gonna be a simple install. there's the wiring, computer, cooling upgrade, engine mounts, the list goes on.

if you're serious about putting in a V8, look around the sections (starting with the "builds" section first) for other members projects.

you could also go the turbo route, but that again isn't a simple upgrade, or cheap.
