1997 blazer 4.3 starts then immediately dies
New fuel pump and filter. Vehicle will crank reach idle rpm and die. When you turn the key on it will reach about 60 psi. After a couple of seconds it will drop to 55 psi. Sometimes it will hold for several min sometimes it will bleed off. I am new to these injection system. It definitely isn’t a carburetor. Any advice. I did read on a forum about a nut kit. The oil is magically a little high. I have to see how it smells tomorrow. Any help or advice as to where to start would be greatly appreciated
Being an older thread, you will get better replies with a new thread.
When you do, include, year, engine, drive and number of doors. Any diagnostic info you can provide really helps too, e.g., OBD codes, parts replaced, etc.

The thread was only 4 years old and he went through the same diagnostic procedures as I am now with the exact same problems. The only is that mine is a 99 - not much of difference at all. The problem is being an older vehicle a lot of these techs aren't around anymore to give diagnostic advice but he had a really good discussion going that I was using to diagnose mine. No reason to repeat the same steps twice and the best techs aren't even on this forum and available anymore.
If you would have left the thread alone I would have reviewed the steps they had already gone through to see if I missed anything. When you repost the exact same problem not only do you get fewer answers from fewer techs but you also have to wait days for the next step to try this or that. What few techs we have left have less experience because they have have already retired or purchased a newer vehicle, and you have to wait days for the them to reply, plus waste time writing rather than working on the vehicle or doing something else more important.
