Default 1997 Blazer LT MFPI swap and now its smells of gas and blowing white smoke

My blazer needed the spider replaced, only realised after i had swapped plugs, wires, cap and rotor, and the catalytic converter. Im stumped though now. Right after replacing the spider with a new MFPI, It started up first crank ran great for a test drive. So i parked it for a couple hours and then it threw p0303. I drove it last night and it would hesitate on acceleration and sometimes try to stall. Then today i start it up and its blowing white smoke. I cant find any one else with this issue. NEED HELP badly!!! Thank you

Copious amounts of white smoke is typically coolant burning in a cylinder from a cracked head or bad head gasket or bad intake gaskets.

hey did you get this resolved? I have a 1997 gmc jimmy SLE and i just swapped my injectors to mpfi and have the exact same issue. I held a blowtorch to the white smoke bellowing out of my exhaust and it lit up like a roman candle. Its definitally fuel thats causing it. Not sure if the injectors i just bought are faulty or if i have bad plugs or wires. Was working fine before i did the mpfi conversion, aside from the rough idle due to leaky cpi injectors. Let me know if you resolved the problem and how. Thanks
