Default 1997 blazer shift issues

hi folks. new here so bare with me plz
i recently purchased a 97 blazer for my daughter at a good deal i hope. The transmission shift issue is this... the truck wont come out of 1st gear until about 40mph or unless i let off the accelerator to let it shift. and im not quite sure if its going into second or right into third. no codes are coming up on a scanner. fluid is in good shape and it doesnt appear that anyone has been in the pan any time recent. 133k miles. any help would be appreciated bfore i resort to a tranny shop and they tell me it needs rebuilt instead of a simple fix.

My abs and brake light both come on too. Mine shoots out a code for front left and right wheel speed sensors. They are like 40 bucks each and not supposed to be too hard to do. I'm sure that is why those lights are on. Shouldn't have anything to do with the shifting issue.

If you do some searching, there are quite a few threads that outline all the sensors on the engine that can affect transmission operation. After a bit of work verifying those, there are other inputs such as if it's in 4wd or the speedometer. Finally, I have worked on a transmission with a similar problem that had a worn out solenoid piston and it would pretty much jump from 1st to 2nd because it was slipping so bad. I doubt that is your problem but just throwing it out there. I would look at the sensors first though.

Best guess would maybe be throttle position sensor as a starting point.
