Default 1997 EEC and 2004 4L60E transmission compatibility

Hello everyone!
Hope you will tell me, because I need some enlightenment .
I have 1997 S-15 Blazer L35 AWD transmission issue. Purchased it used with 4TAD code 2004 auto trans with the problem: immediately after install it runs in 1st and 2nd gears with no 3rd. After a little time falls into 'limp'. After codes erased it works the same: half dozen miles in 1-2 only, then 'limp' again. Tried another transmission (1999 code 9KXD) which seemed to have faults too. So I re-assembled my 4TAD with new parts (solenoids and inner wiring included), But the problem persists. EEC shows shift solenoids circuit failure (both 1-2 and 2-3) and other errors.
Problems seems to be in electrical parts. I can test wiring. But there's a question I didn't found an answer in ATSG and Technician's guide:
Will 1997 EEC (automatic trans) fit a 2004 code 4TAD 4l60e auto? If no, what will I need to repair/replace?
