I am searching for another transmission for my 98 blazer 4x4 and would like to know what year models will interchange i know it is a 4L60E. I am just not really familiar with the interchange.

 

Im pretty sure there are only a couple of years that will interchange 98 through 99.Maybe 2000.That was the last year the 4l60e was produced then a new heavy duty version called the 4L65e replaced the 4L60e.
The 97 was modified from the 96 and the same for 2 years.Then after that more changes were made to the 4L60e.
I do know this also a 96 can be swapped for 97 even though there was minor changes made but enough to have to reprogram the pcm.
