1998 Blazer 4.3 4x4 hesitation and stalls
Hi all, this is a bit of a long story but I am stumped now and hope that somebody will have some advice on my issue. I purchased a 1998 Blazer with 125k on it. It now has 132k and has developed a hesitation problem. When it first started having problems it would hesitated after you start it and put it into drive, when you hit the accelerator it do nothing but choke like it was dying (wouldn't die though) then after about 3-5 seconds it would be fine and take off. It would not throw a Check engine light, so I fugured it was a fuel problem and replaced the fuel pump and filter. This did not fix the problem, but I needed the truck for a long road trip and was feeling brave so I drove it from Chicago, IL to Oklahoma City, OK and back. It maintained the same problem but made the trip just fine. The problem gradually got worse but still would not throw a code. I replaced the spark plugs and wires, air filter, fuel pressure regulator, and MAF sensor. I also chased down and replaced any bad vacuum hoses that I could find. The codes it is showing say fuel system lean on bank one and two, and also O2 sensor Bank 1. The truck is now not drivable, it will start but will die when the throttle is applied. Also when it was running if you really stepped on it to go, the truck would up shift, and engine would rev but start mis firing and sounding like it was struggling for air or fuel.
go to a salvage yard ant try try the pcm. just make sure it is the same add ons abs,ac, cruse 4x4. if thay want two much ask can you use it as a test
