Default 2-4 band gone bad?

Alright so I had that shift kit thread and fixed that (mostly) but a new issue has come up. Now that the transmission shifts now, it won't go into 2nd unless I take my foot off the gas, and goes into 3rd fine and it doesn't go into 4th. Here is what I have tried, I test drove it and put it in 1, get it up to 2500rpm then move it up to 2, and it doesn't shift into 2nd, then move it into D and it goes into 3rd and does nothing when put into OD. Jacked up the rear end in my garage and same thing. This would be a 2-4 band problem or servo problem I would think and I already checked the servo and it appears to be fine. I'm not sure why it would be the band when it was fine before the shift kit. I was told by someone about pulling the valve body and separator plate then removing the metal slug to be able to do something to the band but I cant remember what it was. Thoughts and suggestions?
