Default Transmission lagging, swapped from tahoe

I have a 98 blazer. I had problems with the transmission slipping so I swapped it out and now it has a tranny that belonged to a 95 Tahoe. Now the truck revs high before actually moving. Before it used to take off easily and even burned out by lightly stepping on the gas but now it's slow. Anybody know what's up?

Which torque converter did you use? The 95 or the 98? Do they have the same stall speed? Low fluid could cause that as well. Welcome to the forum.

Default Thanks man

Idk about the stall speed but I used the 95, it takes long to take off so I've been shifting manually but I hear this is bad

Will it shift on it's own? The more detailed description you can give will get you more accurate answers. There are some very knowledgeable members here.

Well it shifts on its own but it lags a lot, It revs real high before actually moving and when it does , it is very slow, I don't know much about trannys but the one I put in belonged to a v8 vortec 95 Tahoe and my blazer is a 4.3 vorTec, I heard a shift kit helps a tranny get in gear butbidk, that's why I seek advice
