2000 Blazer 4.3 Vortec sounds like dist 180 out

Make sure you rotor button is in the correct position on #1 TDC
the little #6 on the passenger side of your dis is where it should be if 6 cylinder, and a #8 if v-8
2 marks on balancer, 1st one should be @ timing mark on top. About 1 o-clock other should be about 4-5 o-clock. Should be another raised rib that 2nd mark lines up with if looking @ it from the bottom.
If those are correct I agree with war00. Tow that thing somewhere with a scan tool.
