Default 96 Blazer - Sounds like chains dragging from front end

Hey,

As the title states I have a 1996 Blazer 4x4 that when i go about 20/25 mph there is a sound from the front end that sounds like I am dragging chains/metal rubbing metal. I was thinking maybe wheel bearing but it does not change when going around corners, right or left. Does not seem to get louder with speed. I did not see anything reading about this sound from wheel bearings on the forum.

Does sound like it is coming from underneath the vehichle, does not seem to be anything in the belt system.

U-joint? Wheel Bearing? Something else?

Any ideas where to start?
Thanks
Randy

Well, it's kind of hard to tell from the description, but I would definitely have the u-joint checked.

I would check the dust sheild behind the front rotor. Mine was cracked near the hub and would rub on the rotor when above 30 MPH.
