2000 blazer/4x4

started my blazer a few days ago and the push buttons for the 4x4 were not lit up and they do nothing... any ideas?

I have the same issue with my 2000 4x4. If I pushed up on it with my thumb the light would come back on & I could switch for 2x4 to 4x4. I was told to order a new selector & use the connector grease...bu I havent yet.
