2000 Chevy Idles at 1500rpm and runs at high rpm.
So I have a 2000 4 door automatic Chevy, just replaced the head gaskets the exhaust valves fuel pump a couple months ago and I believe a couple other small things.
I've had it almost back almost 2 days but minimal driving, anyway driving home today and I try to stop for lights and the engine just fought me the whole way. Have to really brake hard and on ice its really difficult to come to a full stop.
After releasing the brake it will accelerate to 40 - 45km/h without any depression of the gas pedal, and will maintain a speed once achieved without any further input from the gas pedal. It idles at 1500 rpr in park and neutral, but when first started revs to 2000 rpm.
I'm not sure of the problem it seems like its just getting too much gas.
Help and opinions appreciated.

Most likely a vacuum leak. Check for a line that is unplugged, otherwise there could be a leak somewhere on the intake. There are many methods of checking for leaks, but a bit of searching and you should find one you like.
