I have a question about my 01 blazer i got this about 3 weeks ago and this engine knocks ok, first i was thinking ok lifter np use the stethoscope see if I can find the problem nope not the liffters then I wanted to see maybe wuld be the valves nope so now im starting to think its the main rod/bearing bushing cuz when i changed the oil it looked like lil lil metal shavings in the oil and on the drane plug there was metal shavings on it at the end from the magnet , i mean if someone else has a different idea what it could be please let me know

 

Welcome to the Forum... Sounds like you pretty much narrowed it down since it isn't the lifters ect...

 

Yup - sorry but it's tear down time or R&R with another engine
