Thumbs up 2001 Jimmy Just Cranking

I bought a 2001 GMC Jimmy about 3 weeks ago and I didnt fill the tank yet untill yesterday. It was the first time I filled her up and 45$ later, I got home and tried to start it again, and it didnt start. I let it sit for 15 minutes and went back out and it started up. I then pulled it into the garage and polished the headlights. I went to start it up when I was done and it hasnt fired up again. Im pretty sure its my fuel pump because I dont hear it running when I turn the key. I just thought it was weird that It died once I filled the tank. Could it have been the strain of the full tank? I just wanted to know if there was anything else I should check before I go about replacing the fuel pump. Thanks in advance

They rarely die when the tank is empty!

I would test fuel pressure to make sure that is the cause. As well as checking for proper power and ground at the pump.
