Default 2002 Blazer, help plz..running out of $$

Lol. Really though, got an '02 4.3 W vin Blazer about 3 months ago. Manual trans..A while ago it died on freeway. After guessing and changing my fuel filter, wires and plugs, Air filter, battery, Crankshaft position sensor, spider, dist. cap and rotor, and some other things. Came to the conclusion it was distributor gear eaten away. Changed that and checked gear in the block (was fine) & changed oil. Got it running nicely for a day or so, and then more trouble.. rpms wouldn't rev past 3000, rough idle all that good stuff. Figured it was LIM gasket bcuz it was obvious from the coolant leaking from my intake. So changed that, water pump, valve cover gaskets, flushed and cleaned everything(& made sure everything was put back together properly, took my sweet time ). And still same problem with rough idle and RPMS not exceeding 3000. Not a vacuum leak, getting good fuel pressure and spark, and I'm out of ideas and soon money. Any ideas?

You should have some codes stored so you really should get it scanned then maybe it will help you out. One thing it could be is possibly the TPS sensor. Try cleaning it first and there may also be a voltage test you can do on it. But check for codes first anyway. You will have to have the Crank Position Sensor check for tolerance and timing anyway since you replaced it. It is required when it is disturbed in any way. Cheap low end scanners can not do this only full quality scanners can check it so there are still a few things you need to do.

Thank you for the reply, and will clean the TPS tomorrow.. was possibly thinking my Cat. Converter as well, it's rattling pretty bad. But would that cause my problems if it clogged as well? See a lot of black soot where exhaust meets muffler. And can't scan it until I'm able to purchase a cheap scanner, can't exceed 10 or 15 mph atm.

And I'm looking for someone in my area that isn't going to charge me a fortune to do the CASE relearn, just no luck yet lol.

Have you gone through checking fuel pressure and leakdown at the service port AND at the fuel pump? If so, what were the 4 readings? https://blazerforum.com/forum/2nd-ge...eakdown-88305/

After this problem is solved, you can take it to a shop and have them perform the crankshaft position sensor relearn, and check & adjust camshaft retard, both MUST be done.
