Default 2005 Blazer - Autozone code says....

Daughter bought a used '05 Blazer. Runs rough...she took it into AutoZone to put it on their computer. Tech says there's an issue with valve 6....probably either bad plug or coil. As I was working, she ran it to Pep Boys to get an estimate to fix. They want $1,100 to replace all the injectors. Would the code reader have a reading for all 6 bad injectors?. New to Chevys, so any help would be appreciated!

Trouble codes never tell you to replace a part. They indicate a condition or a circuit that malfunctioned. What was the trouble code?

P0306 could be a faulty injector; chances are there would be other DTC's present if other injectors were bad as well.

P0306 is a misfire on cylinder 6, and a bad valve or fuel injector are definite possibilities, along with a ton of other things. It could be something simple and inexpensive to repair Although a scan tool is necessary for diagnosis, even a $10K scan tool alone is not enough to pinpoint the problem. This flow chart will lead you to the problem, and we can help you if necessary.
