Just a thought... if your fenders and rear wheelwells are all rusty anyways... just trim the hell out of the fenders and slap those 35"s on with no lift at all. Me and others have run 38" monster mudders on many a mud race GM truck with no lift, that's basically what most of us did. Keeps the center of gravity low.

I would but i plan on fixing it up..and i dont like the idea of cutting the fenders right out..i am kinda deciding on whether or not i should invest in a warn winch bumper for the blazer or not...and in the end i dont know if im gonna run a th350 or a th400 ive been told the th400 is kind of a dog of a tranny and that the th350 is the way to go..i'm also deciding on whether i should search for a dana 60 or rune a dana 44 in the front..so some input would be great

umm i forgot to throw in the trans is more of a worry then axles are.. I'm just going to compile parts for now and run the 10-bolts with preferabley a th350 but if the th400 is better then either or

A TH400 is a little stouter but the TH350 will be fine. You really don't need a Dana 60 up front until you start breaking parts on your Corporate 10 bolt. Once you start running really large tires you will find other weak links to worry about... like u-joints, steering components, brakes, etc. I would just say have fun with it and pay as you go.

Well i have been told that offroad the 700r4 is a very weak link. Would it hold up to 35" tsl swampers in mud and trail riding? Is it just gonna be like a ticking time bomb in that thing?

A well built TH700R4 will hold up just fine pulling 36" tires. That would also allow you to run 4:56 or 4:88 or even 5:13 gears for off-roading and still take advantage of the overdrive. I will say though, if you are running the factory 3:42s... you may just end up leaving the tranny in D instead of OD so as not to burn it up.
