4.3 Vortec Lower intake manifold ?
Great forum you have here. I look forward to learning and sharing.
I did both a site and internet search for the answer to this question, but found nothing. As such, I figured that the answer would certainly be found here...
Question: I finally had to tear down my 2003 Blazer to replace the frequent lower intake manifold gasket that was leaking. When I removed the intake yesterday, I discovered that one of the mounting holes was actuaslly slotted. At first, I thought that a piece of metal might have chipped off, but upon further examination the slot is smooth and appears to have been machined or cast this way. Can anyone explain why one bolt hole is actually slotted? Thanks.
